Meet The Team
Following Dr. Montano's and Dr. Cardall's lead, our team members are well-trained in state-of-the-art techniques and truly care for each and every patient. Our team is committed to ongoing education and regularly participates in advanced training, allowing us to offer the most advanced technology available in orthodontics today. SureSmile® allows us to create customized arch wires that will move your teeth to the desired position in less time than traditional wires. Invisalign® allows us to create clear trays for those who desire a beautiful smile but do not want the appearance of braces. We work as a team to create a relaxed, pleasant, and caring atmosphere where quality orthodontics provides the beautiful smile our patients are seeking.  Rhonda Hylton is our financial coordinator. She is in charge of our insurance billing and accounts receivable. Rhonda has been in the dental field since 1975, and has been with Montano Orthodontics since 1985. Her experience and personable touch help to make our office run smoothly. Rhonda enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, shopping, and taking care of her kids (goats)."I enjoy providing a level of service that exceeds our patients’ expectations" 
Natalie DeMario is our Laboratory Manager and has been with Montano Orthodontics since 1991. You never know what you will find her working on in our office. Her experience, knowledge, and dedication to all aspects of Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists is greatly appreciated by all. In her spare time Natalie enjoys spending time with her husband Tony, riding horses, raising Koi fish, gardening, and spring flower photography. "I enjoy working for doctors who pursue excellence and utilize the latest technology."  Krystal Clutts is one of our treatment coordinators and has been with Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists since 1996. Her caring and understanding spirit make our patients feel right at home. Krystal loves spending time with her husband, two sons, and two grandsons. She also has two dogs and enjoys camping and shopping."I like meeting new people and seeing the results of their beautiful new smiles"  Melinda Lopez has been a clinical technician with Montano Orthodontics since 2003. She also serves as our Surgery Coordinator. Melinda is truly an asset to our team and patients with her easy-going and caring attitude. She loves to spend time with her daughter Makayla, visit family, and do Zumba."I enjoy working for the best orthodontists in Bakersfield and seeing patients’ happy faces when they finish treatment"
Narce Elizondo is our clinical coordinator/manager. She has worked in the dental field since 1998 and started working for Dr. Montano in 2010. Dr. Montano uses the latest technologies for his patients' treatment and Narce loves learning new concepts, which makes her a great asset to our team. When not working, Narce spends time with her husband, Lucio, and stays busy with her three children's activities and visiting family and friends.
"I love seeing the change in our patients' smile and self-esteem."  Virginia Williams is one of our clinical technicians. Virginia started with Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists in 2006 and brings over 30 years of dental experience to our office. Virginia and her husband, Robert, like to relax and spend time with their five children and one granddaughter. Virginia also enjoys rollerblading, snow skiing, and riding bikes."I enjoy interacting with the patients and love to see their beautiful smiles when they have completed treatment"  Isabel Mendez has been with Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists for three years. She is a clinical technician and also our fastest Invisalign scanner. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She is always up for trying new things, but can always be found doing zumba, hiking, and playing at the park with her family. "I believe that a smile is one of the most powerful and most underrated gifts that we, as humans, possess."
 Penny Obenshain has been in the dental field since 1983. She started with Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists in 2010 as a clinical technician and brings 28 years of experience with her. Penny is also our SureSmile specialist and is known for her dedication to patient care and comfort. Penny adores spending time with her husband, Dirk, and children, Presley and Grant. She also loves the outdoors, sports, barbecuing, and spending time with family and friends. "I enjoy working with Dr. Montano, Dr. Cardall, and their knowledgeable staff. It's nice to watch a person's self esteem lift by improving their smile"
Cynthia Parra has been at Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists since 2009 and loves working for "the best, most caring and passionate orthodontists". She enjoys spending time with her husband, Jesus, and son, Zaden, as well as playing soccer, making soap, and hiking with her great dane, Thor. "I love to see my patients' attitude and self-esteem change from the gift of a perfect smile."
Ariana Rivera is our concierge. She has worked in the dental field since 2001 and is enthusiastic about orthodontics and helping our patients. One thing she loves about her job is how Dr. Montano and Dr. Cardall always take time to listen to their patients' concerns and look for ways to go the extra mile for them. She enjoys spending time with her husband, cheering for her son's football games, cheer competition's with her two daughters, bike rides with the family, and volunteering her days off as a teacher's aid at Discovery Elementary. "I am proud to be part of a team that's leaving such a positive footprint in the community and always looking for a way to make our patients smile"
Stephanie Centeno works in the laboratory. She has been working with Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists since she graduated from SJVC in 2012. She enjoys making appliances like retainers to help create beautiful smiles. She also loves spending time with her husband and doing volenteer work in her spare time. "I love being a part of not only helping make but maintaining beautiful smiles."
Liz Rodriguez has been working in our call center and as our receptionist for the past two years. She has probably helped you on the phone recently and also assists our office in numerous ways with her diverse skillset including fluent Spanish. When she's not at work, she spends time with her husband and watches her kids play sports. She loves shopping... especially for shoes! She also enjoys going out to dinner and the movies. "Of all things we wear, our smile is the most important! I feel very lucky to be part of a team who's goal is to give our patients the best smile possible."
Amber Carillo is our x-ray tech. She started working for us right after she graduated from SJVC earlier this year. She loves taking pictures and gets to use her love for photos in the x-ray room taking patients' before, after, and progress photos. Amber also enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband and family. "I love working at a place that I can say genuinely cares about its patients' success and confidence."
 Victoria Hipsher graduated from SJVC with a 4.0 and was awarded "Best in Program". She is a clinical assistant and has been working in the dental field since 2010. She likes to watch movies, play video games, and take frequent trips to Disneyland."I love working with and learning from this extraordinary team of people who are passionate about their patients."
Karina Baez recently joined us as a clinical assistant and is the newest member of our team. She has been in the dental field since 2006. Her outgoing personality and clinical skills make her well-loved by all our patients. When she's not working, she spends time with her husband and 2 kids. Her favorite hobbies are watching movies and finding new recipes to bake.
Brooke Fortner is a scheduling coordinator at Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists. She enjoys using her interpersonal communication skills to help people every day and make our patients' experience with us as easy and enjoyable as possible. In her spare time, Brooke enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Suzanne Hylton is a treatment coordinator/manager at Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists. Suzanne has worked in the field of orthodontics since 1982 and has been with our office since 1988. Her experience in meeting patients' needs is an asset to our patients and practice.
Cheyenne Chavez just started in the dental field in 2014 and absolutely loves it. She feels like she has already learned so much in such a short amount of time. She is a clinical assistant and manages the sterilization in our office. She loves playing dress-up with her 4 year old princess (Leila) and going on adventures.
